角盲椿屬 (Helopeltis) 昆蟲以刺吸式口器為害多種農園藝作物,台灣目前有記錄的本屬昆蟲包括茶角盲椿象 (Helopeltis fasciaticollis Poppius) 和奎寧角盲椿象 (Helopeltis cichonae Mann) 兩種 (1, 4) ,茶角盲椿象分佈於台灣、中國海南省、印度、蘇門答臘和菲律賓等地,已記錄可危害之經濟作物包括茶樹、咖啡、可可、腰果和百香果等 (4)。茶角盲椿象雖為台灣有紀錄的茶樹害蟲,亦曾在嘉義竹崎地區之高山茶園及東部茶區有監測調查記錄 (1, 3),但以往並無此蟲造成嚴重危害的相關報告,植物保護手冊亦未曾針對此害蟲推薦防治藥劑,因此,此蟲的生物學及其危害、生態等特性,均鮮有相關深入的探討與正式研究文獻記載。近年來,因應農產品農藥殘留與食安問題,茶樹有機栽培逐漸受到重視,而目前針對茶角盲椿象並無適當非農藥防治技術可行管理,加上其偏好於茶樹新葉危害的特性,此蟲已成為有機茶園中嚴重影響茶菁產量與品質的關鍵害蟲。 |

Tea mosquito bug, Helopeltis fasciaticollis Poppius (Hemiptera: Miridae) is one of the major pests which causes severe damages in organic tea plantations of central Taiwan in recent years. This pest also causes damage on other crops such as coffee,cocoa, cashew nut and passion fruit. Both nymphs and adults of H. fasciaticollis prefer to feed on the buds and young leaves of tea plants and cause brown feeding lesions. The article describes the morphological characteristics, diagnosis, and available management methods for this pest. |
